The apostle Paul, prior to his apostolic ministry bore the Jewish name Saul. He was a very active participant in the persecution of Christians. On the road to Damascus, Saul saw a wonderful light, in the vision, the Lord revealed himself to him as the Person whom he persecutes, and this completely changed his life. Paul began to zealously preach the faith that he had previously persecuted. He founded churches, performed miracles, received many revelations and visions of Jesus Christ.
